Privacy at a Glance
We collect the information reasonably needed to answer inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, deliver products, complete pool and spa work, administer warranties and communicate with customers. We do not sell or rent personal information to data brokers. You may ask about the information we hold, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable or unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
In this Policy, “TN Pools,” “TN Pools LeisureScapes,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the business operating under the TN Pools LeisureScapes name. This Policy applies to personal information under our control that we collect through websites and online stores that link to this Policy, contact and quotation forms, email, telephone, text message, social media, our retail location, service visits, deliveries, installations, events and other interactions with us.
This Policy does not govern an independent manufacturer, lender, payment processor, social-media platform or other third party that processes information for its own purposes. Their privacy policies apply to their independent activities.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
We collect information directly from you when you contact us, request a quote, make a purchase, book a service, apply for financing through an available provider, register a product, submit a warranty claim, subscribe to updates or otherwise communicate with us. We may also collect information automatically when you use our website.
Where permitted by law, we may receive information from a person you authorize, a property owner or contractor involved in your project, payment and financing providers, manufacturers, delivery providers, referral partners, public records or other sources relevant to a transaction or service request.
We may use personal information to:
We obtain consent in a form appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances. Consent may be express or, where legally permitted, implied by your actions—for example, when you provide information needed to prepare a requested quote or complete an order.
You may decline to provide optional information or withdraw consent to a future use, subject to reasonable notice and any legal or contractual restriction. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to offer a requested product, service, financing referral, delivery, warranty assistance or website feature. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop necessary messages about an existing inquiry, order, appointment, warranty, safety issue or legal obligation.
Some service providers may store or process personal information outside Ontario or Canada. While information is in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities in accordance with those laws. TN Pools remains responsible for personal information under its control and uses contractual or other appropriate measures when engaging service providers.
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy or to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, warranty, safety, insurance, dispute-resolution and record-keeping requirements. Retention periods vary according to the information and relationship. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy, erase or anonymize it. Information in secure backups may remain until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary course.
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity, amount, format and location of the information. Measures may include restricted access, account and device security, reputable service providers, staff awareness, secure storage and secure disposal practices.
No physical or electronic system is completely secure. Please use caution when sending sensitive information through ordinary email, text messages or website forms, and contact us if you believe your interaction with TN Pools or personal information may have been compromised.
We may send promotional email or text messages when you have consented or when otherwise permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Commercial messages will identify the sender and provide a working way to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe using the link or instructions in the message or by contacting us, and we will process the request within the time required by law.
Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may continue to send non-promotional messages reasonably necessary for your inquiry, order, delivery, appointment, project, warranty, account, safety or legal obligations.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access personal information TN Pools holds about you, learn how it has been used or disclosed, and request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete. You may also ask us to delete information that is no longer required or withdraw consent to future collection, use or disclosure where consent is the applicable basis.
A deletion or withdrawal request is not absolute. We may retain or continue using information where reasonably required to complete a transaction, provide a requested service, administer a warranty, keep financial or consent records, investigate fraud or safety issues, resolve a dispute, comply with law or establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
To protect privacy, we may verify your identity and authority before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation on access, correction or deletion. You may opt out of marketing at any time without making a formal access request.
If TN Pools becomes aware of a loss, unauthorized access, use or disclosure involving personal information under our control, we will take reasonable steps to contain and investigate the incident, reduce foreseeable harm and improve safeguards where appropriate. We will notify affected individuals, regulators or other parties when required by applicable law.
Our products, services and websites are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact our Privacy Officer so we can review the situation.
Our websites may link to manufacturer, financing, payment, mapping, social-media or other third-party websites and services. A link does not make TN Pools responsible for that party’s privacy or security practices. Review the third party’s privacy policy before providing information directly to it.
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services or legal obligations. The revised Policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
